Give us the courage to wait on you.
We seek out panaceas to resolve the conflict of the world and to heal our personal and private wounds. Spiritually attacked number of people are seeking solutions from psychiatrists to resolve inflicted mental and emotional problems, physically afflicted submit to endless therapy while majority who are under the shackle of Satanic agents such as witches and wizards are placed on medication for the rest of their lives. All fail to recognize that the great need in our lives is prayer because no monetary price is attached. Prayer is the greatest and most effective resource that we have. It is the greatest, most powerful and unfailing source of healing and deliverance.
“Go your way and tell John what things ye have seen and heard., how that the blind see, the lame walk , the lepers are cleansed , the deaf hear , the dead are raised and to the poor the gospel is preached.” Luke 7:22 “Verily, verily I say unto you he that believeth on Me the work that I do shall he do also; and greater works than this shall he do, because I go unto my father.” John 14:12.
Under this covenant, in this great Celestial Church of Christ, through the power of prayer, the dead had risen, the blinds had seen, the barrens of long waiting had rejoiced over babies, mentally tortured, physically disabled and hopeless health problems had been granted relief and deliverance. Come today and experience the power in Him that is called AMEN – Rev. 3:14.
And when he was at the place, “Jesus said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. Again when He rose up from His prayer and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, And said unto them why sleep ye, rise and pray lest ye enter into temptation.” Luke 22:40-46.
This is the end-time, unless you remain resolute in faith and pray with all your strength and without fainting or ceasing, you are likely to be subdued by Satan under a heavy yoke of tribulation and gained into his Kingdom of eternal hell. You are warned!!!
On the average two calls are received daily from within, near and far USA, from Europe and from Africa. These are SOS Calls of abysmal despair, resignation to fate or the extreme ones of inclination to voluntary suicide. To most, life is no longer worth the living – the voices quavering with tears and sucking of bitter cry emanating from mental agony, emotional resignation and spiritual deprivation.
The problems and tribulation are varied in nature , intensity and dimension. But one thing is common to them all. They all believe in Christ , trust strongly in the power of prayer but now completely emasculated, exhausted and devoid of further strength to pray. To the weak in faith, Prayer is now a failure. The common questions on their lips – Whom I have offended? What have I done to deserve this perennial heart bleeding tribulation? Have I been forsaken by God? Is God no more hearing Prayer? Have you truly offended anybody that is now posed for your all out destruction? NO. And if YES – that individual or group is not your Creator and as such he/she cannot triumph over you as a true Believer in Christ. “IF GOD BE FOR US WHO CAN BE AGAINST US OR WHO SHALL LEVY ANY THING TO THE CHARGE OF God’s elect? IT IS GOD THAT JUSTIFIETH”. Rom. 8:31-33. “ALL THOSE WHO CONTEND WITH YOU SHALL BE REDUCED TO NOTHING AND THOSE WHO STRIVE WITH YOU SHALL ALL PERISH. DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISMAYED FOR I AM WITH YOU.” Isaiah. 41:10-13. “NO WEAPON FASHIONED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER AND EVERY TONGUE THAT SHALL RISE AGAINST YOU IN JUDGEMENT SHALL BE CONDEMNED. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD AND THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF ME SAITH THE LORD” Isaiah 54: 17.
These covenants are irrevocably for you BUT only if you are truly of the Lord. I strongly beseech you, therefore, to accept Christ into your life today, believe in Him, trust Him and wait on Him. Matt. 11:28-30, worship Him and keep His commandments.. You are assured that very soon all the forces against you will be found no more.
And the second question – What have I done to deserve this perennial and heart bleeding problem? Yes, you have committed an earthly Crime!!! What Crime? BECAUSE you have chosen to follow Jesus Christ. IF YOU ARE OF THE WORLD THE WORLD WOULD LOVE YOU BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE MINE THEY WILL HATE YOU. John 15:19. And Satan said “both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond that do not have my mark on their foreheads and right hand will not be able to buy or sell, succeed or prosper, rejoice or be happy” Rev.13:1-18. But you know that Satan is a big liar. You however need to put on the whole armor of Christ to diffuse and destroy this proclamation of Satan. Eph. 6: 10-18. And Christ says “ I HAVE WARNED YOU THAT IN THE WORLD YOU SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION BUT BE OF GOOD SHEER BECAUSE I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD”. John 16:33.
No matter how strong the power of Satan may operate against you, the Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ will totally destroy it and restore your joy but you must remain tenaciously faithful and prayerful. Have faith in Him, worship Him and keep his commandment. BECAUSE you have chosen ETERNAL SALVATION IN CHRIST RATHER THAN ETERNAL CONDEMNATION IN HELL FIRE. You need to appreciate that you have been brought into this world for the test of your love for God and mankind, the test of your faith, your endurance and perseverance in the face of critical trial and tribulation before you can be accorded that ‘FREE GRACE” to enter the Kingdom of God. Rev. 2:8-10, Rev. 7:13-15. And Jesus Christ says “FOR VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU THAT EVERYONE WILL BE SEASONED WITH FIRE”. Luke 9:49. “IT IS A FAITHFUL SAYING THAT IF WE DIE WITH HIM WE SHALL ALSO LIVE WITH HIM. IF WE SUFFER WE SHALL ALSO REIGN WITH HIM. IF WE DENY HIM HE SHALL ALSO DENY US”. 2 Tim. 2:1-12, Luke 17:1.
Please understand today that if you are not willing to carry your Cross and bear its hardship and tribulation without looking back you have no portion in the Kingdom of God. Act. 14:22. Iam talking of the Cross of tribulation in righteousness not that derived from stealing, fornication, murder etc for which for which you are justly punished.
BECAUSE you have been marked by the divine Hand of God for greatness, success or wealth in peace and joy. Yes, your Star is already discovered by Satan and his agents and you are now confronted and encompassed by these evil people purposely to exterminate you or destroy that plan of greatness. Genesis 37:20. Never mind, this evil plan could emanate from relatives, friends, spouse or even your Child. It could even generate from the Church as many profess that they know God but in works they deny Him being abominable and disobedient and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:16. But believe Jesus Christ that all your enemies will fail woefully and the Glory of God will shine mightily in your life Psalm 37:12-20.
HAVE I BEEN FORSAKEN BY GOD? THIS IS ANOTHER QUESTION. God says “But Zion said that the Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me. Can a woman forget her nursing child and have compassion on the son of her womb. I cannot forget you. See I have inscribed you on the palm of my hand.” Isaiah 49:14-16. Remain assured that you cannot be forsaken by God. God is Love – no matter the level of your sin, he still deeply loves you. He wants you, He needs you to grant you victory, blessing and above all eternal salvation in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. He is fully aware of your affliction – just wait a little more and you will be delivered. 1 Peter 5:7-10.
And the final question – DOES GOD NO LONGER LISTEN TO PRAYER? Listen to the master’s Voice – ‘For whosoever call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”. Rome 10:13 “And I say unto you Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek and Ye shall find; Knock and it shall be opened unto you.” Luke 11:9. “Therefore I say unto you whatever thing you Ye shall desire when ye pray, believe that Ye already receive them and Ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 THIS is an unfailing Covenant of our Lord to all true Believers but one thing you need to know about God is that there is a time difference between the time your prayers are answered and the time of fulfillment. Remember what God said unto Adam and Eve –“The day that you eat from the Tree of Knowledge you will die. They did eat but they didn’t die until after hundreds of years later. Isaac prayer was heard when he was forty years old but it was fulfilled when he was sixty. Gen. 25: 21-26. Luke 21;19. Psalm 37:1-7. Joseph dreamt of greatness when he was 17 years but actually became the Prime Minister of Egypt when he was 30 years old.
IS YOUR PRAYER STRUCTURED ACCORDING TO THE TEACHING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST? Now let us consider the right structure of prayer.
Foremost, there are three types of Prayer.
(1). Ordinary Noise and Disturbance to God. Expect no positive reaction from God.
Prayer from people of blood.
Prayer against someone who is innocent of your charge
Prayer from a rebellious and un-repenting heart of malice and willful sins
Prayer from an un-forgiving, arrogant, proud, contemptuous or envious heart
Prayer for self aggrandizement
Prayer when your hand is still in idolatry
Prayer to destroy the settled Plan of God
Prayer for the success of crime or sin.
(2). Negative and fruitless prayer.
Prayer for the destruction of your enemies. Prov. 24:17-18, Rom.12:17-21
Prayer for WANTS rather than NEEDS. Luke 11:3
(3). Productive and Positive Prayer.
It will, of certainty, be answered by God but certain imperatives are often taken for granted.
ARE YOU:
Have you discharged your outstanding vow and obligation to God – the covenant you made over His previous blessings and favor to you. If not, quickly do that because it could constitute a serious barrier to your Prayer. Eccl. 5:4-5, Psalm 50:14-15.
Do you have faith in God Almighty and His son Jesus Christ as the only source of Supreme Authority and the only key to your deliverance in this world and your salvation in Heaven? Though invisible, do you believe that He has heard your prayer, He is able to do it, He will do it; He has in fact done it .John 14:11-15, Mark 11:22-23 All that is now required is for you to wait patiently for the fulfillment.
Do you Know that there is a time difference between the time your prayer is heard and the time it is eventually fulfilled. The waiting period is a test of your faith and perseverance for a glorious Crown of Eternal Salvation. Luke 21:19.Unto Adam and Eve God said “but of the tree of Knowledge of good and evil thou shall not eat for in the day you eat out of it you shall surely die”. They indeed ate but did not die until after hundreds of years after the offence. Gen. 2:16-17. Isaac prayer for children was heard by God when he was 40 years old but it was not fulfilled until he was 60. Gen. 25:20-26.
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart; Wait, I say on the Lord Psalm 27:14.
You are a sinner like every other person. Yes, the Lord wants you. He needs you and your Prayer will be answered but three things you must of necessity do NOW before you raise up your eyes unto Heavens. You must acknowledge that you have committed these specific sins. You must confess the Specific sins before God and ask for forgiveness. You must feel sorry, repent and withdraw from the sins.
There is no short way to it. Job 11:14-20, Psalm 66:18 Jer.14:10-12.
BUT do you know that you can forgive an individual's sin against you
and also be forgiven by any individual in any environment, but forgiveness from God can be readily available to you particularly when the confession takes place in a Church. Matt. 16:18-19. “Repent therefore and be converted so that the time of peace, blessing and refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Act 3:19
Do you provide for the NEEDY, the DESTITUTES, the WIDOWS, the ORPHANS ETC as a matter of normal routine? “Whosoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry himself and will not be heard.” Prov. 21:13. No matter how terrible your financial situation is, you are still a lot better than millions. Start today to show mercy and give alms and your life will no longer be the same .Psalm.41.
HAVING NOW SATISFIED THE ABOVE CRITERIA YOU CAN NOW LIFT UP YOUR VOICE UNTO HEAVENS AND EXPECT ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYER BUT ONCE AGAIN REMEMER TO STRUCTURE YOUR PRAYER ON THE TEACHING OF CHRIST.
Four Messages are conveyed in “Lord Teach us to Pray”. Luke 11:1 and the four messages are configured in the following way:
(1) Acknowledgement of God as the only Holy, Righteous and Faithful God of all Creation and His son Jesus Christ as the only Messiah, Lord and Savior of all. Praise Him for His majesty, greatness and glory. Thank Him for all small and great favor you have received; for it is not of your right but of His Grace. 1 Tess 5:18, Proverb 11:25
(2) Acknowledge your Sins, Confess the Sins, let your remorse show that you have repented and ask for His forgiveness through the name of Jesus Christ – the Redeemer. Luke 18:13, Luke 23:39-43.
(3) Making your needs known to God through His Son Jesus Christ and remembering friends, relatives, the widows, the sick, the poor and those in the shackle of Satan in your prayer.
Finally remember that you must pray with all intensity, without fainting and without ceasing. You must never give up. It is your unyielding pressure, tenacity and relentless Prayer in faith and in righteousness that will chase off Satan and bring in your long awaited joy from God. Luke11:5-8, Luke 18: Luke 22:44. If you backslide or relent the whole battle will be lost to Satan.
