Without the feast of Passover-Good Friday and the Easter Sunday-the resurrection of our lord and savoir Jesus Christ, mankind has no hope, mankind is forever doomed and all souls of miserable end into eternal perdition. But thanks to our lord and Savior Jesus Christ who through his death and resurrection has destroyed the sting of death and claimed victory over the grave. Ostensibly it seems to mankind that death is a winner. Powerful Popes, Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists and Prophets eventually submit to death, successful billionaires and millionaires end up at the grave and holders of exalted offices such as Presidents, kings, seven Star Generals finally bow down at the sepulcher. They all attain Pinnacles of Power, honor and riches, but death walks in upon them, brings them down, walks over them all and claim victory.
Without pretext, death remains a frightful monster to all. It is a compulsory end for all souls. Aren’t you also afraid? But Christ has also passed through the portal of death and now has risen from the dead and become the first fruit of them that slept. Why are you afraid! babies passing through gestation remain unaware of anything and as your sleep after an exhausting day’s labor is sweet, so is your passage through the portal of life (passage through the dark tunnel of death) but only if you are Christ.
Christ has assured you in Psalm 23 that when passing through that valley of the shadow of death, you should fear no evil, for he will be with you, his rod and his staff shall comfort you. Within the shortest space of time of your closing your eyes, you are out of humming tunnel of death; finding yourself at the gate of Paradise. If it is not so, Christ would not say unto the right hand thief “Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43. Our God is not God of the dead but of the living. If Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are still in the grave, God would not be addressed as God of Abraham-Matthew 22:32.
But the resurrection of the dead into eternal life of glory, peace, joy and love is a reservation only for those that are of Christ. John 3:16, John 14:6. Why not accept Jesus Christ into your life today, repent from your sins, hearken unto the gospel and be saved into the Messianic Kingdom where there is no more death, sorrow, sickness, pain or penury.
“I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today. Keep the commandments of God, find time to worship God, for this is the whole duty of mankind. Eccl 12:13-14, and you will be saved.
