The Wages Of Sin

The wages of sin is DEATH but God's gift through Jesus Christ is Life Everlasting. Romans 6:23 (two options are provided – you can only choose one).Any Soul that sin will surely die. Ezekiel 33. ( We are referring to eternal death in the Lake of Fire). It is appointed for man to die only once after which is judgment that is frightening and dreadful. Heb. 9:27 Has the Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and the bestowed Saving Grace exempted humanity from compliance with the Commandments of Jehovah-God, thereby rendering null and void God's Penal Sentence of Eternal Death on all works of Sin?

A number of Pastors, Evangelists and Preachers had given various interpretation to the Stand of God on sin and the Atonement by the blood of Jesus Christ. Some are quite frank, stern and devoid of sentiment or passion in ther messages to the World thereby inducing a serious re-thinking unto the path of salvation . Majority of Preachers, however, tend to satisfy the inclination of Parishioners by preaching confession of Jesus Christ and faith in Him as the only key needed to open the door unto the kingdom of God!!!. If the passage to His Eternal Kingdom is as simple and easy then demons also will have a free ride into the Kingdom of righteousness. Mark 5:1-7, James 2: 18-22. Do not be deceived, many are called but only few will be chosen. Luke 13: 23-28. Matt. 7: 21-28.

Please remember that the Word of God is forever settled in Heaven. From eternity to eternity God has continued to demonstrate that He means what He says and says exactly what He means. Psl. 119:89. The fact remains that if you sincerely believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God and you are able to confess Him as a Seal of your total acceptance and submission to Him as your Savior and ALL then it should not be difficult for you to do His WILL. Deut. 30:10-15. His WILL is a MUST.

You are only of Christ and can only hope to be saved under His Grace if you keep His Commandments and do His Will. Luke 6: 46-49. John 8:31-32 John 14:21. Jesus Christ has not died for our comfort or pleasure but for our holiness - 1Peter 1:13-21. His death and resurrection were for the achievement of seven major "impossibles" made possible only through HIM.
1. To fulfill the law and all the prophecies of old. Matt. 5:17
2. To demolish the partition between Israel and the Gentiles -- Fuse the two into one new man, and fully reconcile the two peoples in one body with God Almighty. Eph. 2:1-22
3. Revoke the supreme sentence of Death on mankind inherited through Adam. Gen.3:19, Rom. 5:12-13.
4. To suck out the deadly virus, killer poison injected by the serpent - Satan into the human system. "I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel." Gen. 3:15, Num. 21 5:9. "And Christ said Unto His disciple – Peter- unless I wash your feet you have no part with me". John 13:5-10.
5. To destroy the power of death, swallow up death in victory forever, and destroy its sting. Restoring eternal life lost in Eden to the faithful. Matt.27:50-51, 1 Corinth. 15:54-55.
6. To open up the way for the process of regeneration (born-again) by the power of the Holy Spirit through Baptism and affirmation of Faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God & Savior of Mankind. John 3:3-5, John 7:37-39, Titus 3:4-7.
7. Most importantly, offering Himself as a once and for all Supreme/Perfect Sacrifice for the obliteration of our inherited ancient sins and our everlasting deliverance.

By His death, he has become the mediator of a new Covenant, making possible the gift of eternal life Heb 9:11-16. Wages of sin are of two dimensions – the earthly wages which could manifest in illness, imprisonment, sorrow, severe penury, tribulation of all kinds and levels, bareness, postponement of promised blessing etc. Heavenly wage which is eternal condemnation and woes in the Lake of fire – HELL. It has been settled from the inception of Age that No sinner will ever go unpunished. When you confess your sins and turn your life unto Jesus Christ – believing Him and confessing Him; your sins are forgiven and erased from the book of Life Ezek. 33. But you are still punished with earthly wages as spelt out above in reprimand and as a cleansing process. Exod. 34: 5-7, Heb. 12: 5-6.

Moses mistakes at the Rock of Meriba in Kadesh precluded him from reaching the earthly promised land – Num. 20:7-12. Aaron, Joshua and Samuel – His great prophets of old were all punished for their sins though they were forgiven – Psl. 99:6-8. The anointed and highly loved king David was not spared when he transgressed the Commandment of the Lord. He was forgiven but severely punished. 2 Sam. 11 & 12. Elijah sinned by killing the prophets of Baal – 1King 18:40 – though he was forgiven but he himself was beheaded by Herod as punishment from the hand of Jehovah God. Matt.11: 11-14, Matt. 14: 1-11. Paul (once Saul) persecuted the Christians and later turned over to Christ as His greatest Evangelist of all time but still earned the wages of his sins. 2Corin 11:23-33.

But do you know that you may in addition earn the Supreme wages of eternal condemnation into the Lake of Fire if after receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you still indulge in the work of darkness!!! Heb. 10: 26-31. "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor the idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God." 1 Corinth 6: 9-11. Rev.21:8.

May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you as you read this message and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. He is the Truth, the Way and the Light. AMEN.
